Sample Curriculum

We’ve created a sample curriculum to give you a basic idea of what your child would be learning, and our approach to education.

Grade 1 - The alphabet, reading, the four math processes, fairytales and nature stories

Grade 2 - Spelling, reading, introduction to cursive writing, the four math processes, multiplication tables, fables and legends, composition

Grade 3 - Grammar, arithmetic, measurement, study of housing and farming, Hebrew stories, Native tales

Grade 4 - Fractions, grammar, reading, spelling, composition, plays, local geography and history, study of humans and animals, Norse sagas

Grade 5 - Mathematics (decimals), grammar, geography, drama, ancient civilizations – especially the Greek, botany

Grade 6 - Mathematics (geometry), Roman civilization, Medieval history, physics

Specialty Subjects - French and/or German, music, drawing, painting, handwork, recitation, eurythmy, physical education
