We have been at Edge Hill Country School for seven years with our two boys and I can say that the whole experience has been transformative. Our children are truly nourished by the dedication of their teachers, families, volunteers, festivals, and school life. The curriculum is magical, challenging and engaging. School life is for the whole family, with adult learning, social events, and a place to receive from others and to give of yourself. Our youngest daughter was having difficulties in the mainstream school. We tried for years to make things work for her. We home schooled her for a year which was better, but she missed having regular contact with other children. When we finally decided to move her to Edge Hill, we were amazed at the transformation:  our previously unhappy child was free to be herself without feeling self conscious. Through conversations with her teacher, we truly began to understand the difference between a Waldorf inspired school and the public system. The teacher told us what she saw in our child and although she discussed academics, she identified much more important and subtle issues through her own observations that really made sense to us.
